Repetition in design is when an artist uses the same elements repeatedly creating a type of unity. The thought of repetition is easily spotted when an art piece adds consistency with the same element. For example, the image on the left uses pencils consistently throughout the painting developing a united look with the placement and color.

Rhythm/Movement show a flow and pattern in an art piece. It develops a consistent visual with repeating elements. rhythm and movement create a type of harmony to art. For example, the image on the right demonstrates rhythm and movement because the artist used the same line texture throughout the whole piece; in addition, dull colors to create a calm look.
